1Who these terms are between
"Lodestone", "we", "us" means Qiang Gao, the provider of the Lodestone guild bot software and the optional hosted service.
"You" means the person accepting these terms. If you accept on behalf of a guild, group or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
"the Service" means the Lodestone software, the hosted service, the setup panel, the website, and any licence key we issue.
By installing, running, buying, or using any part of the Service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
2We are not affiliated with Hypixel, Mojang or Microsoft
Lodestone is an independent tool. It is not created by, endorsed by, affiliated with, or supported by Hypixel Inc., Mojang AB, Microsoft Corporation, or Discord Inc.
"Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang AB. "Hypixel" is a trademark of Hypixel Inc. Those names are used here only to describe what the software interoperates with.
Any dispute you have with Hypixel, Mojang, Microsoft or Discord — including any action they take against your account — is between you and them. We are not a party to it and cannot intervene in it.
3Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to hold a Minecraft account and a Discord account under those services' own terms. If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian permits your use of the Service.
4Your Minecraft account — the risk is entirely yours
Read this section carefully. It is the most important one.
Lodestone works by signing a Minecraft account into Hypixel and keeping it connected. Hypixel's own rules restrict automated clients, bots, and unattended connections, and Hypixel enforces those rules at its sole discretion, without warning, and without any appeal you or we control.
You therefore acknowledge and agree that:
(a) Running any bot on Hypixel — including Lodestone — may result in your Minecraft account being chat-muted, restricted, temporarily suspended, or permanently banned, and may result in the loss of ranks, cosmetics, purchases, SkyBlock profiles, guild membership, statistics, or any other in-game property or progress.
(b) This may happen even if you follow every instruction we give, use the software exactly as documented, and break no rule knowingly. Enforcement decisions are made by Hypixel, not by us, on criteria we do not control and are not told.
(c) You use the Service entirely at your own risk. We make no representation, warranty, promise or guarantee — express or implied — that using Lodestone is permitted by Hypixel, that your account will not be actioned, or that any account, purchase, rank or progress will survive.
(d) We are not liable for any loss of, or restriction on, any Minecraft, Hypixel, Microsoft or Discord account, nor for the loss of any money, rank, cosmetic, item, currency, statistic, profile, guild position, or other value associated with such an account, however that loss arises.
(e) We strongly recommend you run Lodestone on a spare Minecraft account that you can afford to lose entirely, and never on an account holding ranks, purchases or progress that matter to you. Choosing to ignore this is your decision and your risk.
(f) No refund, credit, compensation, replacement account, or other remedy is owed by us if an account is muted, banned, restricted or lost — including if that makes the Service unusable for you.
(g) You are solely responsible for reading and complying with the Hypixel Network rules, the Minecraft EULA, the Microsoft Services Agreement, and the Discord Terms of Service. Nothing we provide overrides them, and nothing in our documentation should be read as permission to breach them.
5Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break the rules or terms of Hypixel, Mojang, Microsoft or Discord;
- harass, threaten, dox, defraud or abuse any person;
- send spam or bulk unsolicited messages;
- cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate statistics, or gain an unfair game advantage;
- access an account you do not own or lack permission to use;
- attack, overload, scrape abusively, or reverse-engineer any third-party service, including Hypixel's API;
- distribute malware, or use the audio features to play unlawful or infringing content;
- resell, sublicense, redistribute or share a licence key issued to you, or circumvent licence checks.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if we reasonably believe you have done any of these.
6Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- your credentials — your Hypixel API key, Discord bot token, licence key and Minecraft account. Keep them secret. If you paste a secret into a public channel, that is your disclosure, not ours;
- what your bot says and does, including messages it relays, announcements it sends, audio it plays, and anything its AI feature outputs;
- your guild's and your Discord server's members, and any moderation obligations you have to them;
- the data you feed it, and any privacy obligations you owe the people in your guild or server;
- keeping your own backups of anything in
data/that matters to you.
7Third-party services and AI output
The Service depends on third parties — Hypixel, Discord, Microsoft, Mojang, and optionally Google, Anthropic, Seraph, Bordic and others. We do not control them. They may change, rate-limit, break, charge, or withdraw their APIs at any time, which may stop some or all features working. That is not a defect in the Service and does not entitle you to a refund.
The !ask feature returns output generated by a third-party AI model. It can be wrong, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate. Do not rely on it for anything that matters. You are responsible for what your bot publishes in your guild and server, including AI output.
8Paid features, licence keys and refunds
- A licence key is a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the paid features on the number of machines stated at purchase.
- Sharing, reselling or publishing a key, or circumventing licence enforcement, terminates your licence immediately with no refund.
- Free-tier features are provided free of charge and may change or stop at any time.
- Refunds: a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the paid features have not been activated on any machine. Where you have a statutory right to cancel (such as the UK/EU 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers), that right applies regardless of anything in this section, though it may be lost once you begin using digital content with your consent.
- We may revoke a key without refund if it was obtained fraudulently or via a reversed payment.
9Hosted service (if you use it)
Where we host an instance for you:
- We provide it on a reasonable-efforts basis with no uptime guarantee and no service-level agreement, unless we have separately agreed one in writing.
- You still supply your own Minecraft account, Hypixel key and Discord bot token, and section 4 applies in full — hosting does not reduce your account risk in any way.
- Your instance's configuration and data are stored on our infrastructure. We take reasonable technical measures to protect them, but no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee against breach.
- You may request deletion of your instance and its data at any time. Deletion is permanent and includes your stored sign-in and stat history.
- We may suspend or delete an instance for non-payment, for a breach of these terms, or where it threatens the stability or safety of our infrastructure or other customers.
- We may terminate the hosted service on 30 days' notice, refunding any prepaid period not yet used.
10Data and privacy
- Self-hosted: everything stays on your machine. We receive nothing, except a licence check (your key and an anonymous machine hash) if you use a key.
- Hosted: we store the configuration and operational data needed to run your instance, including your API keys, your bot token, your guild settings and the cached Microsoft sign-in token your bot creates.
- We do not sell your data.
- Your bot processes messages from your guild and Discord server. You are responsible for telling your members that a bot is relaying their messages, and for any consent or notice your local law requires.
11No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or trade usage.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, compatible with Hypixel's current rules or protocol, or that any defect will be corrected.
12Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
(a) We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages; nor for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data, opportunity, or loss of any game account, in-game property, rank, currency, cosmetic, statistic or progress — even if we were advised such loss was possible.
(b) Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (i) the total fees you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (ii) 10 USD.
(c) Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that applicable consumer law does not permit us to exclude. If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights you have that these terms cannot lawfully remove.
13Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, your breach of any third party's terms or rights, or content your bot sends. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach, negligence or wrongdoing.
14Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, licence key, or hosted instance if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if continuing would expose us or others to material risk. Sections 2, 4, 6, 11, 12, 13 and 16 survive termination.
15Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date, and where practical we will notify active customers. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service; if you have prepaid for a hosted period, you may request a pro-rata refund of the unused part.
16Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, and the state and federal courts located in Massachusetts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws there.
17General
If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the unenforceable part is limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor of the business. These terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
